75cl Apple Juice Spartan

Description

Spartan has often won the tastiest apple competition at the Marden (Kent) fruit show.  A light green background colour, the fruit turn deep purple on the sunny side with a rich bloom that polishes to a bright shine.  The flesh is white, which contrasts with the dark pips.  It has a crisp flesh when picked, that turns softer and melt in the mouth towards Christmas.  Its thicker skin means it stores well.  The juice is sweet, very refreshing and melon like in flavour.  Always a favourite with young children.
