Description
James Grieve is a well established traditional early English variety that has sadly lost out to modern marketing. Year round availability of apples means that there is no longer a premium foro early season fruit. Traditionally a duel purpose apple, picked in early August while sharp to early September when sweet, its softer flesh let it down compared with modern and later varieites with firmer, crispy flesh. No matter! Juicing James Grieve captures its acidic apply pie flavour making it an ideal accompanyment to any meal.
